MIDLAND RED must wait f a later hearing of Ea Midlands Traffic Commi sioners to decide the future a bus route in Coalvill Leicestershire.
The company wants to e tend a service into Agar Broc housing estate, but residen of one street — Oakham Dri — objected to the commi sioners.
Philip Brown, technical at planning services officer North-west Leicestershi District Council, said alte native routes suggested t the objectors either did m penetrate Oakham estat could use unadopted roa( and would not comply wit Department of the Envirof ment recommendations. H was not aware of an accidents caused by busE using the present route.
For the objectors Mrs M. I Thornley, a resident of Oat ham Drive, said that man buses ran almost empty alon the street and the slow moving buses were creating hazard because of the narrow ness of the carriageway.
