MORE wage agreements following on the award to A and B licence haulage workers in RH(74) were announced on Wednesday by the Transport and General Workers' Union.
In one agreement, hourly rates at A.P.C.M. Ltd. have been increased by amounts varying between 2fd. and 3d. an hour and two extra days' holiday have been approved for staff with 12 months' service or more.
So far as Connaught Food Products Ltd. is concerned, agreement has been reached on RH(74) rates plus a differential of Ils. 9d. a week. A guarantee of seven hours' overtime is to be retained. A bonus scheme for trunk drivers has been started. They will be paid id. a mile plus 2s. a trip for solo drivers, and id. mile plus 2s. 8d. a trip if driving a rigid and drawbar trailer. There is also agreed a plus payment of 4s. a day for all statutory and annual holidays.
