Area annual general meeting on Wednesday, Mr. J. A. Edmonds was re-elected chairman and Mr. E. G. Carson and Mr. G. Morgan, vice-chairmen. Mr. R. A. Phillips was re-elected secretary.
In his report of the West Midland Maintenance Advisory Committee, Mr. L. Patrick, the divisional secretary, said that in the past year 12,030 vehicles had been stopped and checked by Ministry of Transport examiners and 3,369 had been issued with prohibition notices, which represented 28 per cent.
