DESPITE fuel rationing, the organizers of the Scottish Commercial Vehicle Driver of the Year Competition have now decided to hold the contest in September.

The final will again take place at Stockbridge, Linlithgow, on September 28. Eliminating rounds will be held in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow not later than September 14. A new centre may be arranged in either Perth or Dundee.

It is hoped that the All-England Competition will be held this year on a limited scale (The Commercial Motor last week).

PROTEST AGAINST CONVICTION

AS a result of the conviction of a Dundee Corporation driver for driving a double-deck bus recklessly, some of his colleagues last week-end adopted " go-slow " tactics. The driver had been fined £20 and disqualified for
