• York Bodybuilders has developed a beaver-tail platform body for delivering plant equipment from a Nissan Cabstar chassis.
The body, built for P I Hire of Bedford, doubles as a general-purpose dropsider when necessary. But it really comes into its own as a means of transporting wheeled plant when the detachable alloy load
ing ramps allow loading using a 12-volt winch between the cab and bulkhead.
The load-bearing hardwood floor is overlaid on steel crossbearers. Rope hooks are attached to each crossmember and lashing rings are set into the floor.
