The Renault Extra remains by far the most popular small van in Europe, with 26% of the market, followed by Citroen's C15, with nearly 14%.
High cube vans like the Extra and the C15 are favoured on the Continent where tax regulations allow domestic use by owners using occasional seats in the load area.
With sales on the up and up, all of the UK manufacturers benefitted, with sales of Escort and the Maestro CDVs increasing by 50%.
Cheaper exhausts • Drivers of Fiat carderived vans stand to benefit from price reductions averaging 20% across the whole range of its genuine replacement exhaust systems.
