Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Parcels operator Nexday has signed up its first franchise following its franchise launch at the National Franchise Exhibition at Olympia last week.

Terry Calvert, a former Nexday employee with previous experience as an owner/ operator, has won the franchise for the Kettering and Corby territory.

Nexday's franchise manager, Peter Williams, says the launch has produced 65 "serious applicants" who, along with 20 interested Nexday employees, will be interviewed over the next few weeks.

Williams reckons that the establishment cost of each franchise will average between £16,000 and £17,000, according to territory, although in some cases it could be as low as £13,000. The franchise licence will be granted for five years, renewable without further payment.
