Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• To cater for increasing interest in the use of wheeled refuse bins, Shelvoke Dempster has added Zoller bin-liftequipped models to its Revopak range of waste collection vehicles.

They are offered with 19 or 23m3 capacity bodies on 4.49 or 4.65m-wheelbase 6x2 or 6x4 chassis, and a choice of the company's latest threeman, short cab, or standard six-man crew cab.

Following an exclusive supply agreement with Leyland Daf, all new Revopak models will have the 156kW 6.2-litre Daf DNS diesel offering more power than the Leyland 420 engine which it supersedes. SD offers the standard Eaton 6109 ninespeed synochromesh or an Allison automatic gearbox and Leyland Daf Constructor rear bogie with lifting or self-steer axles as options.

The new Revopak us have a stronger, reshaped 1.3m3capacity hopper, and in place of the toothed compactor plate in its existing open-backed models, SD fits a continuously sweeping plate that lifts and compresses refuse on a 12second cycle.

Other improvements across the range include heavy-duty ram anchor bearings and revised driveshaft seal units. • Herewarcl Freight has taken delivery of one of the first Steyr trucks to be fitted with a Jennings sleeper cab (CM 11-17 May). The 12.7-tonne 13518 is fitted with a Wilcox 7m curtainsided body with a 6.5-tonne payload, and was the first registration by new Steyr dealer Meo & Gilbert of Yaxley, near Peterborough.

Heavy-duty hubs MI SKI' has developed a one-piece, heavy-duty integral hub unit which is claimed to have far fewer parts than conventional multicomponent wheel units, making it cheaper to manufacture, store and buy.

The hub becomes an in tegral part of the vehicle's suspension system, and this can save space and simplify brake maintenance, says SKF. Two versions of the hubs are available: the THU 1 for driven axles, and the THU 2 for non-driven axles.
