Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Ready-mixed concrete supplier Mixamate has bought five modified ERF E8s for its London-based fleet.

The 4.3m-wheelbase chassis are equipped with multicompartment steel bodies to carry sand, cement, aggregate and water which are mixed onsite in a rear-mounted, dieselpowered unit.

The 6x4s are among the first new chassis to be bought by the Croydon company since its inception in 1976. At the time it was expected that the concept of on-site concrete mixing would appeal mainly to the DIY market, says managing director Peter Bates, but over the years it has become equally popular with small builders.

The Mixamate truckmixers, supplied by Dutton Forshaw of Maidstone, feature the driveline combination of Cummins 6CTAA8.3-265 engine, Eaton 6109 gearbox and Rockwell rear axle which is standard across the E8 range.
