Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A unique aluminium powder tanker, produced by bolting the accessories and cross-members to the chassis, is now on trial with Birch Haulage.

The 56m3 tanker was developed by Met2lair in association with British Alcan. The allaluminium chassis is a British Alcan design and features extruded chassis side-members with three channels running the full length of the trailer.

By eliminating welding Metalair claims to have avoided chassis distortion, reduced weight, and strengthened the cross sections. The trailer's maximum potential payload is 28 tonnes at a 40-tonne GCW.

The chassis is being closely monitored during its operation and Birch Haulage's workshop team has been given detailed instructions on servicing and maintaining the trailer.
