[EARLY 3,000 apprentice agineers entered the Moore ad Wright sponsored "Best I British" engineering trainee dils.competition (CM, Demaber 15, 1984).
Heat winners for the South astern and Central London !gions were presented with leir prizes last week.
Finalists from nine regions ill go forward to the ational finals to be held in heffield at the end of this ionth.
The five competition caw-Dries are fitting, press tool • ork, turning, milling and sect metal work.
Each national winner will !present Great Britain in this ear's International Skill Ilympics in Osaka, Japan. Moore and Wright, a Neill ools subsidiary, is running ie British competition in injunction with the Engiering Industry Training oard, Skill-UK and the auge and Toolmakers Assoation.
