2 A PLEA to haulage and C-licence employers, in particular, to do more to bring to the attention of their staff the facilities offered by the National Committee on Road Transport Education is made in the Committee's annual report for 1961, published on Tuesday.
The report suggests that employers might like to arrange for their local colleges to send them a supply of enrolment forms, so that employees could enrol at work instead of at the college,
Examination results for 1961 again showed that the main support came from the north of England and Scotland. London figures did not improve and "were agai* disappointing." But, adds the report, enrolments for the current year have shown an " encouraging " increase. There was a welcome increase last year in the enrolment by younger people, although the majority were still between 25 and 40 years of age.
As a result of suggestions made by interested people, the Committee was now considering a revision of the syllabus so that the full course could be completed in two years instead of three.
