Esso Hydrofonner: A £4m. hydroformer, said to be the first built at a British refinery, is now in operation at the Esso plant at Fawley. Only five other plants of this kind exist,

New Du Pont Laboratory: The Du Pont company have opened a new Elm. elastomers laboratory in America to provide a technical service on neoprene and Hypalon synthetic rubber.
