MR. J. E DRINK WATER, deputy general factory manager, Tecalemit, Ltd., has left by air for a six-week business tour of the United States and Canada. While in Canada he will visit the subsidiary company, Tecalemit (Canada), Ltd., Toronto.
MR. J. R. SHARP, new national chairman of the Institute of Materials Handling, is attending the American Materials Handling Exposition at Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Sharp is joint governing director of Lansing-Bagnall, Ltd., He is expected to return in July.

MR. H. H. THORPE, accountant of the .Potteries Motor Traction Co., Ltd., has assumed the responsibilities of secretary, previously held by Mr. I. M. Smut, who has become accountant and secretary of the Northern General group.
MR. J. V. GRAY has been appointed general manager of the Far East office of the British Motor Corporation. WorkMg from Singapore, he will cover an area including Burma, Siam, Malaya, Indonesia. China, Japan and.the Philippines. From 1932-48 he was with the Shell concern in Australia, and joined the Austin Motor Co., Ltd., in 1948.
