Contrary to popular belief, the Hawk does know how to communicate with young people using the modern lingo. Here goes then; these hip cool cats you see before you are, I'm told, a chart-topping popular combo who go by the name of Stereophonics.
The three Welsh dudes (now I'm cooking daddy-o) recently set off on their sell-out UK tour with two brand new Scania trucks to transport their gear between gigs. (Translation for old farts: musical instruments between concert halls.) After the UK the boys in black MI head off to play in Germany, Holland and France.
KB Event, the events logistics division of specialist transport operator KB Freight, was responsible for shifting all the kit in two of its four Scania Topline tractor units. The other two vehicles will be used for exhibition work throughout the UK and Europe as well as a summer season of music tours, festivals and outdoor events. Meanwhile the Hawk and Foden the dog will be getting right down to it with a festival of music in their own back garden, courtesy of their trusty wireless set, to the strains of Mantovani.
