AN ALTERATION affecting the existing A59 LiverpoolPreston-Leeds trunk road at lnghey Bridge near Skipton by-pass is proposed in a draft Variation Order.
The order provides for the closure of a short length of the A59 Broughton Road, which includes the existing Inghey Bridge over the River Aire.
And the Secretaries of State for Environment and Transport have announced plans for improving the Hungerford-Hereford trunk road at Callow Hill.
After studying a report by an independent Inspector, it has been decided to accept his recommendations to make the order under Section 7 of the 1959 Highways Act.
