Stopmaster two-leading-shoe wedge tkes are fitted on all wheels. These are a w heavy-duty design from Rockwellindard of Detroit and they will be soon inufactured in the UK by Centrax, who eady have an agreement with that corn-, ny covering rear axles. Brake actuation is an air-pressure system and there are in, independent operating chambers at ch brake unit. These provide a secondary stern which is a complete duplication of .t main and there is also a power-assisted ndbrake.
A chute-type body is mounted on the imp truck and this is constructed of steel th a 0.4375 in.-thick floor. Twin, doubleting tipping rams supplied from a gearbox iwer take-off give a 68° tip in 10 sec. The DF.20 has a wheelbase of 8 ft. and easures 15 ft. 8 in. overall; turning circle is aimed to be less than 35 ft.
