THE Prefect of Haute-Savoie has imposed a ban on foreign heavy goods vehicles on the roads of his departmente throughout the summer months. From May 29 to September 18 of this year goods vehicles exceeding a laden weight of six tons will not be allowed to move on the roads on Sundays and holidays between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Excluded from the prohibition are refrigerated vehicles and those carrying perishable foodstuffs.
