T AST month the first British-built, rein1-1( forced plastics sea-going containers refrigerated by Thermo King went into service with the Ellerman's Wilson Line, of Hull.
Passenger ship Aaro, operating from Hull to Copenhagen, carries four of these new 17-ton containers on her shelter deck.
With overall dimensions of 20 ft. by 8 ft. by 8 ft., the containers are built by Duramin Engineering Ltd., of Lydney, Gloucester. They have special Thermo King sea-going KL refrigeration units and are of frameless design and sandwich-form constructionreinforced-plastics skins on a polyurethane core.
