Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

this company consists of two 6-ton overtype steam wagons, one being shown with a trailer and standard body, whilst the other carries a body of the brewer's type.

The Foden may be described as one of the most successful of the modernized overtypes; it runs on a, boiler pressure of 220 lb., and has a much larger boiler than its prototypes. The compound engine has cylinders of 44, ins. and 7 ins. by 7 ins. stroke, and the gearing provides three changes of speed, in the ratios of 4, 8 and 12 m.p.h. Ackerman steering is utilized, and easy riding is ensured by the use of a long cross-spring centrally pivoted to a crossmernber of the frame.

Braking is effected through a band acting on a large drum mounted onthe rear axle, whilst the foot' brake expands in the rims of the driving wheels. Particular attention. has been paid to the convenience of the driver and his mate and to their view of the road; there is none of the cramping which was formerly associated with many wagons.
