The Borsig ploughing engines, of which one is exhibited on this stand, embody single-cylinder oil-engines of 8 n.h.p: They are equipped with large flywheels, two to each engine, in order to even the torque transmission to the cable drum, which, like the McLaren, is vertical, the rope being guided to a horizontal' pulley under the machine, whence a is led oil to the implement.
