Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I.C. Ploughing Tackle. Steam Tractors and Wagons. Steam Rollers and Equipment and Agrimetors.

Besides one example of the new undertype steam wagon, which is fully described on page 624 of this issue; Fowler's are showing another entirely new machine, in the agricultural tractor which is entered, as a new implement, for the Silver Medal of the Royal Agricultural Society. The novel feature of this machine is that its driver actually sits on the implement, plough, mower, harrow, or the like, which the tractor is hauling, and controls it from titere by means of reins, just. as he would a horse. One hand only on the reins is needed to operate the steering mechaniara' and to give complete control for starting and stopping, as well as manipulation of the change-speed gear and of the brakes. There are two wheels, which do rot, however, make contact with the ground, but ride inside a rolling pad, the principle of operation being similar to that of a chain-track machine.

Other exhibits are One steam ploughing engine and one 70 lip. internal-combustion engine, together with a Six-furrow anti-balance plough equirped with subsoiling tines: and an ti-ton road 'roller, equipped with the patent change-over device, by which it can be converted, in less than two hours, to use as a tractor. Amongst what might be termed accessory exhibits of interest 'to road -engineers are a concrete mixer and a stone crusher.
