With memories of early incarnations now expunged, the Premium LD cab is a pretty good package, well represented on haulage fleets. Volvo's beneficial influence shows in the driveline with a strong DXi11 SCR diesel and the decent Optidriver automated gearshift and overall build quality.
The cab interior is pleasant, if not wholly practical to clean, and there are three trim levels. Access to the cab is better than average, and unladen, it is a tad lighter than its peers.
An underrated truck that doesn't yet have the favourable perception it deserves especially now the dealer network is improving and growing.
