Following Its success in the tipper market. Hino is extending its range to include two rigid distribution chassis. These new products seem likely to prove popular with plant hire and civil engineering contractors.
Very much a truck from the 'does-what-it-says-onthe-tin' school of engineering, its mechanical simplicity puts the 18-tonne Hino 500 on a par with the lsuzu Forward — its peer and probably main competitor. Small and ownaccount operators wishing to avoid electronics and operate an easy-to-drive truck should take a test drive.
