Solidly-constructed and definitely at the premium end of its sector of the market, Vito offers a well-controlled ride, neutral handling and an impressive engine line-up. The 3.0litre boasts road-blistering performance, the six-speed box provides a sweet gear change whichever model you pick, and Vito will help you shift over a tonne of goods.
It is worth noting that Mercedes-Benz's smallest light commercial is marketed in Dualiner as well as van guise. For your money. you get a second row of seats plus a cargo area at the back.
On tne downside. Vito comes with an awful foot-operated parking brake and the high roof version's styling is not to everyone's taste. Nor can we understand where the promised medium-roof variant has gone. Address these. M-B, and you'll transform what is a competent van into a great one.
