When it comes to producing van versions of its small hatchback cars. Peugeot has a quietly impressive pedigree, and the 207 Van follows that tradition. Hugely enjoyable to drive, it rides and handles well, and the most powerful of the diesels offers good performance.

While you are enjoying that performance, you can also enjoy an attractively styled cab interior, too.

Equipment levels are satisfactorily high. The goodies list includes driver, passenger and side airbags and electric windowsand a half-height bulkhead is included in the price.

Pay a bit extra and you can top it off with a mesh grille. A full-length load cover is on the options list, too.

ABS comes as standard, and the 1.6-litre version boasts disc brakes all round. Payload capacity is over 400kg, which is more than enough to allow you to carry a big toolbox, a large dog if you are a mobile security guard, or a couple of urgent packages.
