• Renault has added 148 trailer brake parts to its parts range so an operator can now take both truck and trailer to his Renault dealer for servicing and MoT preparation. The parts range from axle hubs, brake drums and shoes to taper roller bearings.
• Sales of Tata light commercials have risen by 224% over the past five months compared with the previous six months' figures; 600 were sold in 1997-414 in the past five months. The naturally aspirated Loadbeta Pickup has contributed 50% of sales. Tata's network of 60 dealers is due to increase to 80 by the middle of 1998.
• TR Group Holdings has established Dual Tank Transport to specialise in the carriage of ISO tank containers in the mainland UK. The company will operate alongside its sister company Dual Carriage which specialises in the transport of ISO containers.
• Electronics company Furon has developed Easitrak, an on-board doh) system which records start/stop times, distance travelled, door open times, engine and road speeds, low oil pressure and accidents. The basic unit costs £350 fitted. Contact: 01789 840005.
