Christmas morning he found there was an extra special present waiting for him under the tree. Thanks to Alan Mayne, managing director of Foden Trucks, Foden now has his very own bowl with his name inscribed on the side. Alan had this rather smart vessel made for him by a local potter in Sandbach, Cheshire. He says he wants to be sure that Foden is well fed in 1998 because he knows that, like his namesakes, he will be covering a lot of miles. The Hawk can assure Alan Mayne that when it comes to his grub, Foden never goes short. He may be small in stature, but he's big in appetite.
