DOUG TAYLOR, the Road Haulage Association's industrial relations officer, is leaving his post this month to work for a Transport Development Group company.

Mr Taylor, who has been in charge of RHA labour relations activities since June 1981, is to become a trainee manager with C. Albany and Sons, based at Ware, in Hertfordshire. Ultimately, he will be responsible for running the Ware depot.

He is a native of Derbyshire, and has a BA in European studies. Before becoming involved with labour relations, he was secretary to some of the RHA's functional groups. Pending the appointment of a successor, Mr Taylor's duties will be performed by senior executive officer Bob Duffy.
