This Ford D600 parcels van is the latest addition to the large fleet of contract-hire vehicles supplied by Transfleet Services Ltd to Security Express for operation throughout the UK. The first outside the 30cwt range to be operated by Courier Express, it will run nightly between London and Birmingham, where it links with other vehicles providing a following-morning distribution service to all major cities.
The Botiey Flour Milling Co Ltd, Hampshire, has lately taken delivery of its first Tamplin swop-body bulker, mounted on a Seddon 13.4.354 chassis.
Manufactured by N. Tamplin and Co Ltd, Chichester, Sussex, it is fitted with the company's interchangeable snout-type discharge unit and is finished in a coach grey livery with gold leaf and green lettering.
One of 434 Bedford CF maintenance vehicles being supplied to the Swedish State Telephone and Telegraph Company. Chassis/ cabs were supplied by G.M. IVordiska, the General Motors plant responsible for Bedford sales in Sweden. With locally built special bodies the total order is worth £648,000.
