THE East Midland Traffic Corn missioners have now issued their written decision on applications by four coach operators for express services from Aylesbury, Bletchley, and 'Leighton Buzzard to south-coast and east-coast holiday resorts and for feeder services between Aylesbury and Luton. The hearing, which occupied 10 days, ended last September.

Express service licences have been granted to Buckmaster Garages, Ltd., Leighton Buzzard (between Far Bletchley and Bournemouth), and Keith Garages, Ltd., Aylesbury (Aylesbury-Bournemouth).

Feeder services have been granted to United Counties Omnibus Co., Ltd., Northampton (Aylesbury-Luton); and Seamarks Bros., Ltd„ Westoning, Beds (Leighton Buzzard-Luton), to connect with existing express services. In each case the grant is for Saturdays only in July and August. Allowances are for one vehicle only, except on the last Saturday in July and the first two in August, when two vehicles may be used.

Referring to the witnesses in the cases, who had numbered 76, Mr. C. R. Hodgson, chairman, observed that many people called by one applicant tended to support all the other applications. Most of the witnesses were unconcerned who provided the services, he added.

Of the express and feeder services that would link Aylesbury and Yarmouth. Mr. Hodgson observed: "It is especially noteworthy that British Railways did not find this method of operation objectionable, although railway services from Aylesbury, etc., by through trains to Liverpool Street for the eastern counties, give good connectional services."
