He said that the vehicle was seen by police as it was being driven between Newport and Hull. The driver appeared to have difficulty in keeping it on the road.

The company were fined £20 for using a vehicle with defective steering, and £10 for using it in a dangerous condition. The driver paid 1 on each of two similar charges. Both defendants pleaded guilty.
