A CALL for the clarification of the ti contract-carriage law was made by Mr. G. Nabarro, M.P., president of the Road-Passenger and Transport Association, at the Association's annual dinner in Birmingham, last week. Mr. Nabarro referred to the "bureaucratic burden" imposed on road vehicle operators.

Two speakers vigorously attacked the clause in the Birmingham Corporation Bill seeking powers to build bus bodies. Mr. J. A S from today (Friday), the tyre distribution plan will be altered. Manufacturers will adopt individual policies. Basic discounts for giant tyres will be not less than n%. Some dealers will offer rebates off basic discounts. and others will probably allow larger discounts off invoice terms. The existing user-discount scheme is being continued.
