• Van Hoof has won an order from Algeria to supply 150 midibuses as part of a government replacement programme for 500 vehicles.
The integral A508s will be modified for the Algerian market, with three access doors, a rear-positioned fare-collector's post and opening side windows.
To cope with overloading, the vehicles will be reinforced and will feature extra safety fittings. Deliveries to Northern Africa will begin this month.
