• Australian transport and distribution giant Linfox is looking to buy an established UK distribution firm.
It already operates a purchase and lease-back contract for Courage Brewery, covering 600 vehicles and 800 trailers, from its base in Staines, and it is keen to expand into the UK distribution market, The 30-year-old company boasts 40% of the Australian distribution market, including contracts with Woolworths, BP, Dunlop and Castrol, and has a 3,000-strong fleet.
Linfox also plans to expand into Canada.
