• Rail freight operator Transfesa UK is expanding its intermodal swapbody service to the north of England and Scotland.
The service, which will operate through Railfreight Distribution's hubs at Warrington and Strathclyde, is part of the
company's plans for the Single European Market and the Chunnel. Expansion into Ireland might follow once the Chunnel is operating, says the Kent-based firm, which diversified into road transport at the end of last year.
