• Illumiboard (patent pending) is a clipboard with a difference — it has its own light source.

Illurniboard, also the name of the new firm taking over manufacture and distribution, is being relaunched but now with injection moulds from a high-impact plastic claimed to be more user friendly.

Based on the observation that clipboards are often used in dark or badly lit places, an illumiboard overcomes the problem of trying to juggle with pen, papers and torch at the same time. It is run on two AA-type batteries and longlife bulbs.

Illumiboards are available in two formats: portrait with topmounted light for righthand use and a landscape version that converts for right or lefthand use.

They cost less than £10 each and besides fitters, they are also finding uses among haulage drivers, freight handlers and warehousemen.
