AS A first step in containing costs it is necessary to find out the efficiency of any existing operation. A new product from Tachodisc, Pr( Guetins 29 CH 2520 La Neuveville, Switzerland can help with this.
The system monitors and records all pertinent information automatically. Ii identifies driver, vehicle and trailer; records dates, hours, minutes, and seconds; and memorises all starts, stops, rest periods and distance covered. With a fuel metre added it ill record total fuel insumption and provide an stantaneous readout on the ish. All of this information retained on a solid-state emory card which is moved and read in a parate recorder which has a amble connection to most imputers.
A print-out of raw data is so possible with a printer inuected in parallel to the ader.
