Thirty-seven services are concerned in the application for higher fares lodged by Blackburn Corporation with the North-western Licensing Authority. In addition, five services jointly operated with Accrington Corporation and three with Darwen Corporation are affected.

Sixteen express services starting from the West Midland Traffic Area are the subject of applications for the addition of 6i per cent, to the present rates. Associated Motorways, Ltd„ Premier Travel, Ltd.,, North Western Road Car Co., Ltd., and Majestic Express Motors, Ltd., are the applicants.
