NI A new truck-mounted roadsweeper was launched by Scarab Sales and Leyland Daf last week.
The Scarab Major is aimed at local authorities, vehicle distributors and cleansing ,-)perators. Scarab managing director Rodger Hoadley hopes it will also win overseas sales.
The Major is based on the Leyland Daf Roadrunner chassis and features hydrostatic transmission, eliminating the need for a donkey engine.
Scarab says it is already taking orders, with the first model going to Jack Allen (Scotland).
