This agent has been used successfully in Germany for more than three years, while Shell UK opted for Formula-Shell — recently withdrawn after causing inlet valve problems on some vehicles. Shell UK cast around for an alternative and decided the cleaning agent had proved itself satisfactorily in Germany. The company claims the new fuel will benefit carburettors, fuel injectors, manifolds and inlet valves which can cause uneven running, poor fuel consumption and high exhaust emissions if dirty.
