John Wilson becomes national travel manager, London. and South East and general manager of Samuelson New Transport Co Ltd and Tillings Travel (NBC} Ltd. two of the coach operating companies of the National Bus Company, on January 1 1973. Mr Wilson has been for two years marketing director of Grey-Green Coaches Ltd, a subsidiary of George Ewer and Co Ltd.
John Hope, 38, has been appointed secretary/accountant of the NBC's London coach companies, A. Timpson and Sons Ltd, Samuelson New Transport Co Ltd and Tillings Travel (I\IBC Ltd. Martin Ballinger, 28, becomes management services accountant of National Traver {NBC) Ltd.
John David Jones, 33, has moved from Tyneside PTE to become assistant secretary/accountant of the Northern General Transport Co Ltd In succession to Clive Miller, now secretary /accountant of East Yorkshire Motor Services Ltd.
David Williams, marketing director of Giltspur Investment subsidiary, Bullens Transport Group Ltd, now assumes additional responsibilities as Giltspur group marketing .4•• manager. Mr Williams has " been with Bullens for
eight years. David Williams Sir Peter Masefield, 58, formerly chairman of the British Airports Authority and chief executive of British European Airways, will become a part-time member of London Transport Executive for three years from January 1 if a recommendation of the GLC's policy and resources committee is accepted by the full council.
Reg Goff is to represent SGH (International Freight) Ltd — a member of the SGH Group of Companies — and to cope with the increasing demand for the company's services in full-road and groupage traffic, operating between the UK and Spain and Portugal. Mr Goff will be responsible for London, the South East and the South West of England. For the past 10 years Mr Goff has been representing a company in a similar full-load and groupage field.
James R. Hetiden, 44, at present assistant to managing director, becomes director and treasurer of Vauxhall Motors Ltd today, taking over from Denis A. West who retires at the end of February 1973. Mr West. who moves into the position of assistant to managing director pending his retirement, has been director and treasurer of Vauxhall since October 1966.

Morris Group, BLMC, has been appointed to a new Chair of Automobile Manufacture in the School of Automotive Studies at the Cranfield Institute of Technology. The Chair has been Set up with the support of funds from the SMMT. Or Brian Bundy
