AN ARRANGEMENT has been made between Powell Duffryn Engineering Co. Ltd., and Atkinsons of Clitheroe Ltd., for the Atkinsons 7 cu.yd. independent poweroperated bulk gritter to be modified for use with the PD Dinosaur 11S unit.
The one-man-operated Atkinsons gritter is a self-contained unit with an integral diesel 6 hp engine, able to spread any type of gritting material. Its tubular telescopic legs are replaced in the adaptation with simple underframes and container legs.
