Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

1by Colin Barnett ird has confirmed that the II-important pricing of its aw Transit Connect light van inge will be revealed on igust 12, and the van will then on sale prior to its main rblic launch at the NEC Motor how at the end of October. The I( public will be able to see the Insit Connect on the road :fore then, though, as BT has ready begun to take delivery

the first batch to arrive ire. Ten pro-production short heelbase models are in serce with BT engineers roughout southern England.

Since last looking at the iansit Connect, CM has been 1 Germany to sample the new in on roads more represen

tative than those around the Turkish factory. The performance reserves of Transit Connect's 9GPS common-rail engine were illustrated by the ease with which it would achieve speeds in excess of 100mph on the unrestricted autobahn sections with untroubled stability. Even at those speeds, there Is little significant noise increase. At more UK-relevant speeds, the TDCi shrugs off most challenges with a fine display of flexibility, with third or fourth gear coping with most aroundtown situations.

Ford's aim to endow Transit Connect with as many of the handling characteristics of the Focus as possible is certainly ambitious, given that the car is widely accepted as having the best small car chassis around. But a thorough hustling around the hilly region east of Frankfurt revealed no noticeable vices, while retaining an impressive level of ride corn fort. Nothing experienced on this latest driving opportunity contradicts our early views that Ford has a winner on its hands. Despite looking hard, we have still to find anything worth real criticism, but rest assured, we won't stop trying.
