• Palfinger distributor TH White of Devizes has introduced a crane designed specifically for timber operations. Rated at 9.7 tonne/metres, the Epsilon 10.79 weighs in at 1,850kg and has a maximum outreach of 7.9m.
grab: some owner-operators are expected to fit quick-release grab mountings
so they can use either a timber grab or, for example, a br ck grab for backloads.
The crane can be front or rear-mounted: its two built-in hydraulic stabiliser legs are individually extendible and can be operated from the highmounted operator's seat. Vulnerable hydraulic lines are mounted on top of the arm to avoid damage.
