A NEW CMR Consignment Note has been jointly produced by the Freight Transport Association, the Road Haulage Association, and SITPRO. The Note has been prepared to accommodate new conditions coming into force on October 1, as a result of amended Customs export procedures.
Produced in consultation with insurance advisers and loss adjusters, the Note continues to conform to the requirements of the CMR Convention. ETA hopes that the style of the new note will encourage exporters to complete the document themselves rather than leaving it to freight forwaders and hauliers, The Note is available to FTA members at £9 (plus vat) per 100. Discounts are available for increased quantities, and supplies are also available from the Road Haulage Association.
