Al: There are roadworks just north of Berwick-upon-Tweed, and surfacing is in operation on the northbound carriageway at Dishrth, North Yorkshire, where one lane is open and a diversion is gnposted.
Al (PA): Contraflow traffic will be in operation until mid-November a 5.6-mile section from north of the Blind Lane interchange (A167 'ester-le-Street) to south of the Carrville interchange A568/569: Major roadworks are under way at Birchfiel.d Road and prlands Lane, Widnes. Severe delays are likely.
A61/638: Work on a major traffic management scheme in akefield will affect Doncaster Road (A638), Barnsley Road/Kirk3te (A61), and Ings Road (A638) as part of the Chantry Bridge traffic anagement scheme, and is expected to last until mid-1983. Diverans will be notified, but drivers are strongly advised to avoid the ea.
M6: There are several lane closures in Cheshire between junction ; (A54) and 22 (A49).
M18: Until November, the northbound carriageway is closed for 5 miles between junctions 5 and 6. Slight delays are possible. M621: The slow lane of the westbound carriageway is being remstructed for 3.5 miles between the M62 and A6110. There is one istbound and two westbound lanes.
M62: Until October, the westbound carriageway is closed for 4.5 iles between junction 35 (M18) and 34.
Greasborough, South Yorkshire: Gas main renewal in Main Street ill disrupt traffic until the end of October, and will close the road to rough traffic between Coach Road and Church Street. There is a version for local traffic, but through traffic should use Haugh Road t Nether Haugh}, Rawmarsh, then the A633 to Rotherham. Macclesfield: Oxford Road is closed for several months from Jgust. Congestion will occur in the vicinity as this road carries rough traffic to the A536 and A537. An alternative route is via Ivy me and Ivy Road.
