The Eldec Electronic Scale is msed on a series of load cells nounted at various points on he lorry and trailer which flex Jnder load. Strain gauges, incor)orated in the cells, pass an ,ilectrical current to an indicator riounted in the cab.
Changes in current are ranslated into a weight digital .ead-out which, when the tare rveight is added, produces a gvw .eading. When installed on artic„dated or drawbar vehicles, the oad cells allow individual axle .eadings to ensure correct load iistribution.
