Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Following closely on the announcement of orders for Leyland single-deck buses and coaches (CM last week) the company has received UK orders for Atlanteen double-deckers. Largest order is from Edinburgh Corporation, which has specified 50 PDR1A/1 models. Newport Corporation has ordered 15 similar models and Western Welsh, 10 PDR1/3. Halls of Hounslow, which recently placed three 331t Atlanteans in service, has ordered a further five, while Hunter of Kilmarnock, one of the Al Services companies, has ordered three PDR1A/1 models.

• A new Airport Express bus route, to be numbered Al, will be introduced by London Transport on August 23, to link Heathrow Airport Central with Hounslow West underground station. The service will be operated by single-deck coin-in-the-slot buses and will run non-stop between the station and the centre of the airport, cutting four or five minutes off existing bus travel times.

• The Gateshead and District Omnibus Co. Ltd. has introduced its first one-man buses on three services, to try to overcome the shortage of staff. No redundancy will be caused by the new services and local officials of the TGWU have agreed that, due to the huge turnover of staff, any future redundancy is unlikely.
