• Belfast Corporation Transport is to introduce 80 one-man buses later this year and early next year, all based on Daimler Fleetline chassis, with bodies built in Belfast by Walter Alexander and Co. (Belfast) Ltd. This company was formerly Potters of Belfast, but was acquired at the end of May by W. Alexander and Co. (Coachhuilders) Ltd., of Falkirk, Scotland, The new company has already received an order from Ulsterbus for 260 single-deckers and 40 double-deckers, all on Leyland chassis (CM June 271. Of the Belfast order, 50 will be double-deckers with 33ft front entrance, central exit bodies with the staircase on the nearside (as on Newcastle upon Tyne's Alexander-bodied Atlanteans) and seating capacity for about 77 passengers. The balance of the order will comprise 36ft single-deckers with front entrance, central exit and 45 seats with room for 21 standing passengers,
